Volunteers for the Toronto Paramedic Services collected donations during the St. Patrick’s Day parade on Sunday and were able to give 875kg worth of food as well as a $3,300 cash donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank in Etobicoke.
“The Toronto Paramedic Services’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade food drive is a great event,” said Gail Nyberg, Executive Director of the food bank. “We’re grateful for their support during our spring drive, which started last week. These donations will not only help us reach our goals, but will also provide about 4,000 people with a nutritious meal.”
