I am grateful for…
The time for fun.
The wind blowing through the bench.
The education and the opportunity to learn.
I am grateful for food when I’m famished.
When I create light, in a second.
To think about other than thoughts of death at night.
I am grateful for breathing.
For shoes on my feet.
For a pencil in my hand.
I am grateful for steak, mmmmmmmm…Steak!

Pizza and Dubstep, they make Saturday enjoyable
My Mom and life, they make EVERYTHING
Possible!

The one word I know,
that will stay in my heart, is gratitude.
I’m grateful for rights,
I’m grateful for peace.
The two words, I know,
that will stay in my heart is peace, and gratitude.
I’m grateful for school,
I’m grateful for my education.
The three words I know that will stay in my heart is education, peace, and gratitude.
I’m grateful for warmth,
I’m grateful for a home.
The four words I know that will stay in my heart is home, education, peace, and gratitude.
I’m grateful for love.
The five words I know that will stay in my heart is
love, home, education, peace, and gratitude.
Stay in my heart = engraved in my heart

I am grateful for…
all the essential things Earth provides.
My parents, and the love they shower me with.
For the trustworthy friends that I trust and protect with my life.
For equal rights in Canada.
For free education, and medical care. This means a great deal for families living in poverty.
For a chance for life!

I am grateful for… all the things around me.
Many go unnoticed, and we automatically point out the things we wish to abandon, or leave to float away on the gentle breeze of life, although as the world rapidly whips around, no one pauses to think of all they have to be grateful for.
I stop for a moment to smell the vibrantly coloured roses, to watch the bumble bees fly, and to appreciate the air I breathe, and the ground I walk along.
We should all be grateful for each other, and the things we do either together or alone.
This Thanksgiving remember to show your gratitude to your friends, family and all the things around you.

Being Grateful…For PAPER
I’m grateful for paper.
An unlimited canvas, free work of art, something to savor.
It is powerful, it is a lock, a containment space, on and only.
Your imagination will unfold, don’t you dare feel lonely.
You can ink it, draw it, paint it, or ruler it.
Color it, erase it, write it, rewrite it, do it again.
Try and try, it can be like mail for to send.
Remember it, think about it, never forget it, your mind will be shifted.
It is paper that which with you have been gifted.
Perseverance, feel invincible, use it well for you can now create the

I am grateful for…true love, and all the sports in the world.
I am thankful for music, and art.
I am greatful for good friends, and family.
I am thankful for colours, earth, and nature.
I am greatful for all the abilities I have.
I am thankful for common sense, and a good education.
I am grateful for life.

A Terror of the Night
In the middle of the night.
Only the darkest of souls stir.
The sinister and the crazed,
Derived of sanity.
I feel myself be caressed by this possession,
Unable to heave myself from its deep, eternal depths.
I feel myself losing my senses;
Forgetting my friends, and welcoming ominous.
I have lost my pupils of kindness and aspiration.
What of my passions for life?
Will I give in to all that may await me?
I have disintegrated into the heaviness of air.
I have become the spirit of loss, failure, and weakness.
I have become your nightmare, a ghastly image in every child’s mirror.
I kill life out of the jealousy in knowing what I have lost.
I can find no courage, in my pitiless mind,
To reach the candelabra of light shining from no more than a mile away; a child’s dainty, miniature fingers, grasping the source of such brightness,
So determined to lead darkness away from agony,
And back into the world as a wise figure.
Will I ever make it?
Only with the helping hand of the others, who daringly enter my predatorily treacherous territory, to offer me a hand.
They have offered to guide me, and carry my weight on their shoulders until a new morning comes when this place will be far behind us;
And to start a new life,
With the help of the childrens’ sacrifices to make us at peace,
To change the world…
Such an Inspiration coming from such youthful, tender mortals,
Who have eyes for the positive change in the world,
To bring us to rest,
From the monster who’d feasted upon our souls.

What Impressions do people make on YOU?
There are so many people in my community who have helped me and made an everlasting impression. The first person who left a wonderful impression on me is my grade 6 teacher, Mrs. Francis. She was an amazing teacher. She could be strict sometimes, but she is one of the nicest people I know and I love talking to her. Mrs. Francis had a way of teaching that I would never forget. She would make the topic into a joke and then see if we understood it. I think this is a great way of teaching because it stays in my head forever. She is one of my greatest role models ever!
Another person who is amazing is someone who I haven’t actually met. At all! But I still think that what he’s doing is great. This person is Craig Kielburger. He is a Canadian activist for child rights. He gives many speeches and he is very inspiring.
I also asked one of my friends, Matthew, who inspires him. He answered the people that inspire him most are his teachers, close friends and different people who do good for the community like policemen or people who work at hospitals.
Even if you haven’t met them, they can still be inspiring.
